With a BA in Architecture & Urbanism from Smith College and an MA in Landscape Architecture, Nicole Rimedio has long cultivated her eye for structure, shape, and form. She launched Variance Objects with partner Scott Zankman in 2013, and together they design and create handmade jewelry that expresses the beauty in inclusions, natural formations and the myriad textures found in fine gemstones and rough rock. Keeping their stones semi-raw, Variance jewelry starts out dark and then brightens over time. It can be brought back to its oxidized sterling silver original darkness with a dip in our Anti-Polish - which is included with most purchases. Nicole and Scott work and live in Santa Cruz, California.
