KESTREL was born from a passion to merge our love of nature with the beauty of handmade craft + design. We carefully seek out local and nationally-based artisans who make, create and handcraft beautiful wares, furniture + jewelry. We nurture a minimalist modern + organic aesthetic with a certain emphasis on horticulture.
ELIZA + LITTLE WING | CIRCA 1986
Owner Eliza Bradley’s beloved late stepfather was a falconer, and her childhood was spent among birds of prey—red-tailed hawks, peregrine falcons, owls, and a special kestrel named Little Wing. Unlike the larger hawks, Little Wing was small and far less intimidating, and Eliza and her stepfather, Adam, often flew her across the open fields of western Massachusetts. The name of the store is a heartfelt tribute to those cherished memories.

Our brick and mortar shop opened in 2012 in vibrant downtown Northampton, MA. We are on a side street conveniently across from the Masonic Street Parking Lot. Our big east-facing windows are known for their dynamic seasonal displays.
